FY/OK FPD #14 spans a large, mountainous area with two intersecting valleys, the Kettle River and Curlew Creek meeting near the middle of the fire district. These two valleys have paved roads, all other access are gravel or unimproved dirt roads. Besides the small town of Curlew our communities generally fall within areas known as Danville, Malo and Toroda with a large number of our populace scattered across the landscape.
Our basic stratagy for providing fire protection to our constituiants is to locate satilite stations in our communities. Thus we have stations in Toroda, Malo and Danville with our primary station located in Curlew.
